Start-Stop-Continue
🎉 Your midweek review has arrived! This week’s newsletter has the theme of reflection. And so I’ve taken it upon myself to encourage you, on this fine-looking Wednesday, to take just 15 minutes to reflect on some really important questions.
One thought: What could you stop? ❌
I have to thank Dana Doswell this week for introducing the Start-Stop-Continue methodology to me.
I’ve always been one to reflect and it’s been a shame that I haven’t found the time to pause and think recently. Incorporating a weekly review, or just a short time-out of 5-10 minutes in the morning can really help us to slow down and to prioritise our workload. I have my best days when I do this - it’s time to start again!

Start-Stop-Continue
I hope you’ll join me in considering these questions for the rest of the week:
START - What things will you start doing?
STOP - What things will you stop doing?
CONTINUE - What things will you continue to do based on your goals?
As I talk to you now, here are some of my ideas:
START - I want to win back my morning routine. I’ve had a few days of seeing friends and it’s been amazing - I really needed it - but my routine has gone out the window big time. As a result of this, tasks that I need to get done have piled up and I’ve felt this creep into my head a little. I love getting up in the mornings to have some me-time, as I have the most energy then and the clearest head to work on high-leverage tasks.
STOP - I’ve met some really awesome people this week over video calls (shout out to new reader Annie-Claude Ouellet). They have been amazing and I’ve started some really nice friendships. HOWEVER, I said yes to far too many video calls with prospects and clients, and on top of the fun calls, I felt super drained. Zoom fatigue feels real. Sometimes I’ll get it wrong, but I do think most ‘formal’ calls could be a voice message or an email instead. I may look into setting some sort of ‘cap’ on how many calls I take per week, as I need to be realistic with how much energy I have each day.
CONTINUE - I like ‘Continue’ as it gives us a pat on the back… it’s not just about doing more and more. Sometimes we’re actually doing great. I think I could continue my healthy eating, as I’ve been on a health kick thanks to the amazing support and accountability from Cliff Weitzman. We had lots of guests over this weekend and I saw a friend for his birthday. This led to one too many temptations, but I want to continue this for the long-term and want to get back on the horse.
Food for thought questions
Lastly, here are some extra questions for you if you want to pause and reflect:
I’d love to hear your answers to these questions, please reply to this email if you found any of them useful!

Content tip of the week 🚀
Remember - social media platforms are businesses! Every platform that you create content on has the sole purpose of making money. This means if you can hold people’s attention your content will be favoured by the platform’s algorithm. By creating content on LinkedIn that captures attention, keeps people entertained, inspired or intrigued, you will be keeping them on LinkedIn. This means that they will see more ads on the platform, which makes LinkedIn more money. Win-Win.

I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t read at all this week… but this book is incredible and if you are looking for your next read, look no further. ‘How To Win Friends’ touches on so many important life lessons that will enrich both your personal and professional lives.
